The homeowners enlisted AWID to help refresh their kitchen and convert an unused room to a functional coffee bar. This project called for a delicate balance between maintaining the mid-century heritage of the home but with a fresh perspective. Highlights of the project were a custom hood and metal storage piece suspended from the ceiling over the peninsula , that AWID designed and had fabricated. AWID wanted to create a clear division between the kitchen and dining room and living room, while maintaining the open feel.
